How It Works
Books at SinhalaBooksUSA are currently offered through pre-order windows. Place your order while the current window is open, and we’ll take care of the rest.
1. Choose your books
Browse our catalogue and place your pre-order during the open order window.
If the book you’re looking for isn’t in the catalogue, please fill out our Request a Title form. If the title is currently in print and available from our suppliers, we’ll do our best to add it to the current pre-order catalogue.
2. We bring your books from Sri Lanka
Once the pre-order window closes, we consolidate customer orders and arrange shipment from Sri Lanka to the United States.
If a title becomes unavailable from the publisher or supplier, we’ll let you know and issue a full refund for that item. The rest of your order will continue as usual.
3. We pack and ship your order
When the books arrive in the U.S., we check the shipment, carefully pack each customer order, and send your books to the shipping address provided at checkout.
You’ll receive tracking information once your order is on its way to you.
Estimated Fulfillment
Please allow approximately 4–6 weeks after the pre-order window closes for your books to arrive from Sri Lanka and be prepared for shipment to you.
This is an estimated timeframe. International freight, customs processing, supplier availability, holidays, weather, and other circumstances outside our control may occasionally cause delays.
If your books arrive sooner than expected, we’ll begin preparing orders as soon as possible.
We’ll Keep You Updated
We’ll keep you informed throughout the pre-order process.
You can expect updates when:
- your books are on the way from Sri Lanka
- the shipment arrives in the United States
- your individual order has been shipped
Once your order ships, we’ll send you tracking information so you can follow your package until delivery.
